Not only India but a large number of tourists from all over the world visit Thailand. Citizens of around 93 countries, including India, have tourism opportunities without visa in Thailand. Now with this convenience, the Thailand government is preparing to take another step for tourists – free domestic air travel plan.

Thailand’s Tourism and Sports Minister Soravong Thianthong has proposed a proposal of 700 million Thai Bot for free domestic airlines for international tourists. The purpose of this initiative is to attract tourists to other parts of the country, not just the capital and main tourist cities.

The scheme will be implemented from August to December 2025. The government will provide subsidy on tickets for the participating airlines. Tickets will be available on 1,750 bath for one -way travel and 3,500 baht for travel on both sides. This will increase the tourism sector of the country and will boost the economy as well.

The scheme will be initially launched with 6 airlines –

• Thai Air Asia
• Bangkok Airways
• NOVA AIR
• Thai Airways International
• Thai Lion Air
• Thai Vietzate

The “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year” campaign will also benefit greatly.
