
Today, on August 23, 2025, the country is celebrating National Space Day. On this special day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed ISRO’s provisions while addressing. Addressing the countrymen on the occasion, PM Modi said that this time the theme of Space Day is – ‘Aryabhata to Gaganyaan’. It also has confidence in the past and also resolve the future. Today we are seeing that in how short the National Space Day has become an opportunity of enthusiasm and attraction among the youth. This is a matter of pride for the country.
I congratulate all the people associated with the space sector, scientists, all the youth on National Space Day. India has also hosted International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics. 300 youth from more than 60 countries of the world participated in it. The youth of India have also won medals. Initiatives are being taken by ISRO to increase the interest to space among the youth.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it has become the nature of India and Indian scientists to achieve new achievements one after the other in the space sector. Just two years ago, India became the first country to create history by reaching the southern pole of the Moon. PM Modi said that we have also become the fourth country in the world with the ability of docking and ignores in space.
The Prime Minister said that infinite space always makes us realize that there is no stagnation, no final stop. I believe that there should be no final stop at the policy level in the space sector, that is why I told the Red Fort that our path is reform, performance and transform….
India Gaganyaan flight will also be filled
PM Modi said that soon the hard work of all of you scientists will also fill the flight of India Gaganyaan and India will also make its space station in the coming time. Now we have reached the moon and mars, now we have to reach the parts in deep space where many important secrets are hidden for the future of humanity. At the same time, ISRO Chief V. Narayanan said that on the basis of his instructions and vision, we are going to start the Chandrayaan-4 mission. We are going to start the Venus Orbiter Mission. We are going to set up a space station called BAS (Indian Space Station) by 2035 and the first module will be launched by 2028. The Prime Minister has approved NGL (Next Generation Launcher). By 2040, India will land on the moon and we will come back safely.
