CBFC crashes the wedding in The Bad Guys 2 with booze disclaimer

Moviegoers flocking to see the animated film The Bad Guys 2 , expecting high-speed heists and mischief, were met with an unexpected plot twist – courtesy – the Central Board of Film Certification ( CBFC ). In a rare instance, the animated sequel comes stamped with a CBFC-mandated anti-liquor watermark, which stays on-screen during a wedding scene depicting alcohol consumption. This isn’t a blink-andmiss-it disclaimer – it lingers on the screen for a significant duration.
“The suggestion of using the disclaimer in an animation movie is unusual. If a wolf drinks in an animated movie, the audience must be warned? It has never happened before,” said a source familiar with the certification process.
The CBFC and the studio didn’t respond to queries till the time of going to press.

CBFC’s crackdown on Superman’s kiss last month
The CBFC’s latest intervention isn’t a one-off. Just last month, a kissing scene in a Superman film was trimmed to a blink, so it could qualify for a UA 13+ rating (unrestricted, but with parental guidance for children under 13). A source shared at the time, “The CBFC said the film would not be able to get a UA13+ rating unless the kiss was reduced. It impacted the viewing experience, as the screen actually goes blank during that scene. Even the Superman trailer wasn’t spared and it was given a higher rating because of the kissing scene, and the studio had to reapply for trailer certification.”
