Nottingham Forest have seen bids for RC Strasbourg Alsace’s Dilane Bakwa (22) rejected. Whilst their interest in the France youth international remains, they are no longer leading the race, according to a report from Sacha Tables.
Bakwa was a key part of Strasbourg’s run to the UEFA Europa Conference League places last season. However, despite the club’s ambition to now push on, his departure has been a possibility throughout the window. RCSA have set a €35m price tag on the forward, a figure that no side has yet to meet.
However, that could be about to change. As per TAVOLIERI, Leeds United are now leading the race for Bakwa and are willing to meet Strasbourg’s valuation of the player. Whilst there is confidence that the newly promoted side can conclude a deal, Nottingham Forest remain in the race. The Frenchman has also been the subject of approaches from Germany this summer.
