Ganesh utsav 2025: Ganeshotsav is going to start Ganesh Chaturthi from 27 August. Now in 10 days, Bappa’s cheers will continue, then Ganesh Anant Chaturdashi will be celebrated till 6 September. The enthusiasm of Ganesh Utsav is found from Maharashtra to many states. Where preparations and pandals have started decorating in the houses regarding Ganeshotsav, many traditions will be played during this period.

Where are one Ganesha of the entire village

Belgavi district associated with the border of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa is famous for Ganesh Utsav and its special tradition. In Belagavi city, every street, every household and public and private Ganesh idols are installed, but there is a Nandgarh village in Khanapur taluka in the district, where only one Ganesh statue is installed. This special type of tradition is quite old which has been going on since 1944.

According to this tradition, only one statue is enthroned towards the entire village in the village. It is said that, the special thing is that in this, not only Hindus, but people of other communities also celebrate Ganesh festival. The entire village has set an example by setting up Ganpati together. Where there is power in Hindu and Muslim unity.

Celebrate celebrations for 11 days

Ganesh Utsav in this village is not just a day celebration, all the people of the village celebrate together. Here all the people of the village together perform puja and ‘Ganesh Puja’. Every day there is a cultural program. People from all castes and communities celebrate Ganesh festival and immerse the 11th day. Villagers tell about this tradition.

A member of the Ganesh Committee said that, “We have been giving the message of ‘one village, one Ganesh’ for many years, so that everyone feels that we are one. It also strengthens the unity of the village and can also avoid extravagance. The installation of the same Ganesh statue is a great tradition for the entire village.”
