Driver Injured in Puri Parking Incident
Puri: A serious incident occurred on Sunday when a car driver sustained critical injuries after the vehicle fell from a multi-level parking structure in Puri, Odisha, according to police reports.
The driver reportedly lost control while the car was in reverse, causing it to tumble from the first level of the Jagannath Ballav Parking.
Authorities noted that there was no guardrail at the parking area where the incident took place, and no parking attendant was present to assist.
Upon hearing the loud crash, nearby residents quickly arrived at the scene and managed to extricate the driver from the wreckage. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
In the aftermath of the accident, community members expressed their concerns regarding the safety measures at government-operated parking facilities, urging for the swift completion of ongoing construction work.
