Maria B is one of Pakistan’s most popular fashion designers. She is the owner of a leading clothing brand and is known for her strong opinions. In recent years, she has often spoken against the LGBTQ agenda, which has made her a controversial but widely discussed figure in the country. Many Pakistanis appreciate her for raising her voice in what she calls the service of Islam.
Recently, Maria B exposed an LGBTQ- event in Lahore. She posted a video about the activity on Instagram. The video was later removed by the platform, and soon after, rumours began spreading that legal action had been taken against her. Social media was filled with speculation that she had been served with a notice.
Maria B has now broken her silence on the issue. She said that she has not received any legal notice. She also made it clear that she will not be silenced. According to her, she has been speaking about these issues for the past three years without fear. She said that whatever she says comes from the Quran and Sunnah, and therefore she is not worried about criticism.
She referred to the Transgender Act, which the Sharia Court declared un-Islamic, and added that she will continue to raise her voice whenever she sees LGBTQ activities in society. Maria B also said that liberals who were celebrating the rumours should stop doing so. She insisted that she will keep speaking for the protection of parents and children in Pakistan.
The designer stressed that her stance is not about personal opinions but about following the teachings of Islam. She said that if needed, she is even ready to speak with the authorities directly.
Her comments have once again sparked reactions on social media. Supporters are praising her for her courage and for standing firm on her beliefs. Many are calling her a strong voice who is not afraid to speak openly on sensitive matters.
At the same time, her critics continue to question her views. Despite the divide, Maria B remains one of the few celebrities who openly take such strong religious positions in public debates.
