Gideon Saar's Official Visit to the United States
Gideon Saar, the Foreign Minister of Israel, departed for a state visit to the United States this evening. During his trip, he is scheduled to engage in discussions with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor, following an invitation from Rubio. Their meeting is set to occur in Washington at the US State Department on Wednesday.
This marks their second encounter, having previously met in February during Rubio's visit to Israel. Additionally, Minister Saar will hold talks with US Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noam, whom he welcomed in Israel back in May after the tragic deaths of Yaron Lishansky and Sarah Lynn Milgram, both of whom were associated with the Israeli Embassy in Washington.
Throughout the week, Saar will also engage with the Conference of Presidents, which represents various Jewish organizations in the US, and meet with leaders from AIPAC. Furthermore, he will host a reception for Jewish community leaders and Christian supporters of Israel.
