South Delhi Superstars won the title of women DPL

New Delhi. The final match of the Women’s Delhi Premier League 2025 at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday night was thrilling for cricket lovers. Last season runner -up South Delhi Superstars won the title this time and became the champion by defeating Central Delhi Queens by just 1 run.

Central Delhi Queens started to chase a target of 122 runs. His innings could not hold the rhythm after the initial wicket fell and the game was interrupted by the rain. Monica (33 runs, 28 balls) and Riya Shaukeen (28* runs, 28 balls), struggling at 74/5, handled 33 runs for the sixth wicket. But Monica’s dismissal on the important occasion changed the attitude of the match. The lower order was shaken and the Queens could reach 120/8 in 20 overs, that is, only one run behind the target.

For South Delhi, meritorious Bidhuri bowled brilliantly and took 3 wickets for 26 runs in 3 overs. Himakshi Chaudhary also took 2 wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs.

Earlier, after winning the toss, the beginning of the superstars came out to bat first. Tanishka Singh (14) and Shivi Sharma (29) handled the innings. After this, Tanisha Singh (28), along with Shivi, shared an important 50 -run partnership. But the middle order was shattered as soon as they were out.

Priya Mishra (2/19), Nidhi Mahto (2/24) and Sachi (2/7) bowled brilliantly from Queens. However, captain Shweta Sehrawat (34 runs, 24 balls) struggled to 121/8 in 20 overs. The same score eventually proved decisive in getting the title.
