Bcci end tie with dream11: The relationship between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Fantasy Sports, Dream 11, has finally ended. This major decision has been taken after the recently passed ‘Online Gaming Promotion and Regulation Bill, 2025’. Under this law, any kind of online gaming to money has now been banned in India.

Let us know that Dream 11 was the title sponsor of Team India. This action has been taken at a time when Team India will leave for UAE for the Asia Cup 2025 after two weeks. Let us know that the Asia Cup 2025 is going to start from September 9 and India will start its campaign from September 10.

BCCI statement

Speaking to ANI on Monday, August 25, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said, “BCCI and Dream 11 are ending their relationship after the new law came into force. We will not compromise with such organizations in future also.”

Dream 11 takes new step

After the new law came into force, Dream 11 has also taken a big step on its behalf. The company has announced that it is now shutting down all the paid contests and will only work as free-to-play online social game. Dream 11 called it its “second inning”.

The company said, “18 years ago, when we started this journey, our goal was to bring sports closer to the people. We have always respected the law and will continue to do further.” Also, Dream 11 also clarified that his other projects – Fankode, DreamSetgo and Dream Game Studio – will continue to work as before.

When was Dream 11 Sponsor of Team India?

Dream 11 got a chance to become Team India’s sponsor in the year 2023. At that time, she replaced Ed-Tech company Bayju’s, which was struggling with financial difficulties. The price of this sponsorship deal was around Rs 358 crore.
