If you are planning to travel by train, then Railways has brought 20 percent fare discount in sleeper and AC class for you. But for this, a special condition has to be fulfilled – you will also have to take a return ticket in the class where you want to travel.

This offer will benefit till Deepawali

This special offer of the railway will be applicable till Deepawali. On Saturday, there was a crowd of passengers at the booking counter in Sultanpur. People who book tickets for cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Ludhiana, Punjab were seen taking information about this offer. Many passengers booked tickets to take advantage of this exemption, but some people could take only one side ticket due to not being able to fulfill the condition.

What is the problem of passengers?

Pawan Kumar of Viveknagar came to book a sleeper class ticket to go to Mumbai. He received information about 20 percent discount on the counter, but his return time was not fixed. Pawan told that he is going to Mumbai in connection with the job and the return date is not confirmed. Therefore, he only took a ticket to go.

Similarly, Pradeep Kumar of Vinobapuri came to get AC class tickets for Delhi. Their return time was not fixed, so they could not take full advantage of this offer. Jai Prakash of Shastri Nagar told that his brother works in Ludhiana and he came to book sleeper class tickets for him. However, due to the return date, he also took a ticket on only one side.

Chief Ticket Supervisor Shiv Kumar said that 20 percent discount is being given to passengers traveling in sleeper and AC class. But for this, passengers will have to follow the condition, that is, it is mandatory to take a return ticket in the same class. Passengers who fulfill this condition are being given immediate exemption at the counter.

Trying to increase railway earnings in festive season

Chief Commerce Inspector Vivek Tripathi said that 15 to 20 tickets are being sold daily under this offer. This exemption is being given to passengers traveling in sleeper and AC coaches, provided they return to the same class. This offer will remain in force till Deepawali. If the income of the railway increases during this period, then the duration of this offer can be further extended.
