Jason Isaacs has managed to make a big name for himself in the industry over the years and has even become a major force to reckon with. In a candid interview recently, the actor reflected on his career and even admitted some shocking details about how, even after all the love and awards and success in his life, he still sees himself as an “imposter” sometimes.
Jason Isaacs reflects on his career, admits feeling like an 'imposter'
During the Televerse Festival in Los Angeles, which was held earlier this month from August 14 to 16, the actor admitted that he often gets stunned by the people he is surrounded by every day and the people that he has had the privilege to work with. He added, “I get completely starstruck by everybody whose work I admire, and not just the other people in my category, but in every category, and all the people who aren’t nominated.”
He also added that, amongst all the talent that exists alongside him, the actor often feels that he is not doing right. He shared that, “There’s a lot of extraordinary talent around. I always feel like an imposter.”

Isaacs also shared that even the Emmy night will feel wrong and will make him feel like an “imposter” as well. Although he admitted that seeing everyone and attending the award shows will be “exciting and lovely,” he also added that he is a little scared. He shared, “I will feel like an imposter on Emmy night too, and I kind of look forward to it, and I’m kind of scared of it.”
The star has been nominated for the Outstanding Supporting Actor for his role on ‘ The White Lotus ’ season 3, alongside other actors from the same show, such as Sam Rockwell and Walton Goggins . While the actor has starred in a lot of hit films and other projects over the years, this will mark the 62-year-old’s first Emmy nomination altogether, making this a major milestone in his career.
While talking about his nomination, the star even praised Mike White for creating such a good character and even added that it was not his acting that got him the nomination, but the story and his character’s arc as well that played the majority of the role.
