  • 1 cup mawa (lost)
  • ½ cup ground sugar
  • 2 tablespoon cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • Almonds or pistachios

Fry mawa

First of all, add ghee in the pan and fry the mawa on a low flame. Until the mawa turns light pink and does not start smelling, keep stirring it continuously.

Mix chocolate and cocoa

Now add ground sugar and cocoa powder and mix well. Then add melted chocolate to it and keep stirring continuously, so that the mixture becomes one.

Give modak shape

Turn off the gas and let the mixture cool for a while. Then fill it in the mold of modak and make its shape. If there is no mold, then small shells can be made by hand and modak shape can also be given.

Decorate and serve

Decorate the prepared modak with chopped almonds or pistachios. Keep them in the fridge for 15–20 minutes so that they are set.
