Big initiative to protect SBI customers from online fraud… Bank phones will come only from these numbers

New Delhi. If you are an account holder of State Bank of India-SBI, then this information is very important for you. Given the cases of increasing online fraud across the country, SBI has given an important warning to its customers. The bank has said that now the fraudsters are trying to get confidential information from the customers by calling themselves bank officials, but the SBI has made it clear from which number its real calls come – so that you do not get caught in the fraud of fraud.

Calls from SBI will be from these series only
SBI has clarified through its social media platforms that the bank’s customer service centers only call from the numbers starting with ‘1600’ or ‘140’. That is, if you get a call from these two series, then only it will be considered as the real call of the bank. It is important to take precautions about the calls coming from any other mobile or landline number – even if the person in front tells himself.

Be cautious with such calls
If an unknown number calls you and asks for the information of the bank – such as your account number, OTP, Debit Card Details, Password or PIN – do not answer at all. SBI has reiterated that the bank never demands such sensitive information on the phone.

If unfortunately you fall prey to a cyber fraud or you get a suspicious call, immediately contact the National Cybercrime Helpline Number 1930. Timely information can prevent fraud and ensure your financial security.
