Significance of Sacrifice in Life
During a grand religious assembly held at Navkar Bhavan in Tilak Nagar, Jaipur, Acharya Vijayraj Ji M.S.A. addressed attendees on the fifth day of the Paryushana festival, highlighting the crucial role of sacrifice in life.
While interpreting the sixth verse of the 31st chapter of the Uttaradhyayan Sutra, the Acharya stated that only those who renounce the four passions, four distractions, and four perceptions can be liberated from worldly suffering. He asserted that sacrifice is the sole path to achieving superior outcomes in life.
Drawing a parallel between life and an empty glass, he explained that just as the value of a glass is determined by its contents, the worth of life is enhanced by virtuous actions. He emphasized that mere intentions do not lead to success; diligent practice is essential. The core components of practice include charity, morality, penance, and heartfelt devotion.
Describing charity as a blessing in life, the Acharya noted that even small acts of giving can initiate the journey of generosity, with food donation being the foremost. He urged the audience to abandon mutual discord, stating that sacrifice is vital for fostering love and peace within society.
During the discourse, the ascetic saint Vinod Muni Ji M.S.A. recited the Antgadhdasak Sutra, while Munishri Divya Muni Ji M.S.A. shed light on the significance of positivity and religion in life.
A large number of devotees from across the country attended the religious assembly.
