A Disturbing Incident in Keonjhar District
In a troubling incident from the Government Upper Primary School located in Anjar, Keonjhar district, Odisha, an eight-year-old student named Jyotsna Dehuri fell asleep during class. Unfortunately, the teachers and staff neglected to check the classrooms before locking up for the day, inadvertently leaving her behind as they departed for the evening.
When Jyotsna's parents noticed her absence later that evening, they began to search for her, but she was nowhere to be found. The shocking reality was revealed the following morning when it was discovered that she had been trapped inside the school overnight. In her attempt to escape, she crawled towards a window but became stuck between the iron bars, enduring a night filled with fear and discomfort.
Upon the school's reopening the next day, villagers were alerted to the situation after Jyotsna was discovered stuck in the window. They quickly gathered, bent the iron bars, and successfully freed her. She was then rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
This incident has ignited significant outrage among the local community, leading to the suspension of the school principal. While Jyotsna's life was fortunately saved, this alarming event has raised serious questions regarding the accountability of school officials.
