In Mumbai, actress Parineeti Chopra and her husband, Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha, have shared delightful news—they are expecting their first child.

The couple made their announcement via a joint Instagram post, featuring a charming image of a cake adorned with the phrase '1 + 1 = 3' and two tiny golden footprints.

They also included a sweet video of themselves enjoying a walk in the park, hand in hand.

Their heartfelt caption read: 'Our little universe… on its way. Blessed beyond measure.'

The couple began their romantic journey in 2023, although they kept their relationship private initially.

They became engaged in May 2023 at the Kapurthala House in New Delhi and tied the knot in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in September 2023.

Their announcement was met with a flood of congratulatory messages in the comments.

Sonam Kapoor expressed her joy with a heartfelt, 'Congratulations, darling.'

Bhumi Pednekar and Huma Qureshi also chimed in with simple yet warm congratulations.

Earlier, Parineeti shared a cozy picture on Independence Day, showcasing a lovely afternoon spent with Raghav at home.

She captioned it: 'An afternoon at home, drenched in the colours of our country and family love. Happy Independence Day! @raghavchadha88.'

On the work front, Parineeti is set to appear in an upcoming Netflix series, which features a talented cast including Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jennifer Winget, Harleen Sethi, Chaitannya Choudhry, Sumeet Vyas, and Anup Soni.

The filming for this project has already been completed.

Recently, the couple made an appearance on 'The Great Indian Kapil Show.'

During the episode, which was released on Netflix on August 2, Archana Puran Singh complimented Raghav on his looks and playfully suggested he consider a career in Hindi films.

Raghav humorously responded, 'Aisa hai Archana ji, humara jo profession hai, usme bhi abhineta, har neta ke andar hota hai. Toh humare kaam mein acting bohot hai, aur jab main inki (Parineeti) zindagi dekhta hoon, toh mujhe yeh yakeen ho jaata hai ki inke kaam mein, rajneeti bohot hai! Bohot politics hai!'
