Shakib Al Hasan makes record in T20: Bangladesh’s legendary spinner Shakib Al Hasan has created history in T20. He made a big record while playing for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He became the first player in the world to do so.

In the 11th match of the Caribbean Premier League, Shakib Al Hasan took three wickets for 11 runs in two overs against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. With this, he created a new record in terms of taking wickets. He achieved this feat by taking the wicket of Mohammad Rizwan.

Shakib Al Hasan completes 500 T20 wickets

Shakib Al Hasan has completed 500 wickets in T20 cricket. He has become the fifth bowler in the world to do so. Before him, Rashid Khan (660), Bravo (631), Sunil Narine (590) and Imran Tahir (554) have achieved this feat. Shakib Al Hasan is the first left-handed spinner to do so.

A big record registered in the name of the Bangladeshi legend

Shakib Al Hasan has become the first player in the world to score more than 7000 runs in T20 and also take 500 wickets. Shakib Al Hasan has 7574 runs and 502 wickets in T20. Dwayne Bravo (6970 runs and 631 wickets) could not touch the figure of seven thousand runs.

Andre Russell closing in on Shakib Al Hasan’s record

Andre Russell is also very close to Shakib Al Hasan’s achievement. Andre Russell has taken 487 wickets in T20 and he will complete 500 wickets in T20 as soon as he takes 13 more wickets. Russell has 9361 runs in T20.

Shakib Al Hasan’s 500+ wickets and 7,500+ runs in T20 cricket is not just a personal milestone—it is a testament to his enduring excellence and impact on the game of cricket worldwide.
