For the first time, eight teams are going to participate in the Asia Cup to be played from 9 September to 28 September. These matches will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). However, India is the host of this tournament. Due to the neutral site agreement with Pakistan, the BCCI agreed to hold the match at UAE. So far, a total of 5 countries including India and Pakistan have announced their teams.
Talking about the Indian team, Suryakumar Yadav will remain the captain, while the responsibility of the vice-captain has been given to Shubman Gill. Senior players like Hardik Pandya, Akshar Patel and Jaspreet Bumrah have been included in Team India. At the same time, the Pakistani team will land in the Asia Cup without Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan and the team will captain Salman Ali Aga. Apart from these, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Hong Kong have announced their teams.
