A special scheme has been started for the farmers of the country. By applying in which farmers can get 12 thousand rupees every year. Know which scheme is this and how to apply in it.

More than half of the country's population earns their living through farming and agriculture. Many farmers in the country are not able to earn much profit from farming and this is the reason why the central government runs many different types of schemes to benefit the farmers.

The biggest concern of small farmers in villages is what will be their source of income after ageing. Life is spent managing the farms and barns, but it becomes difficult to get permanent support in old age. In such a situation, the government has started a special initiative for the farmers.

The purpose of this initiative is to provide financial support to the farmers even after leaving farming. Farmers who work hard day and night. They should be given permanent income support even after aging. This scheme is specially made for those farmers. Whose income from farming is very limited.

Under this scheme, a fixed amount is given to the eligible farmer every year as pension. This will help them to meet their daily expenses. That is, it is not just a pension but a means of living a respectable life for the farmers.

The name of this scheme is Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana, under which farmers will get 3 thousand rupees every month after the age of 60 years. This amount becomes 36 thousand rupees in a year. Small and marginal farmers will get the benefit of this. Who have land up to 2 hectares.

To join this scheme, farmers have to deposit a premium of Rs 55 to Rs 200 every month. This amount depends on the age of the farmer. Not only this, the contribution equal to the contribution of the farmers is also made by the central government.

To apply, the farmer will need Aadhar card, bank passbook and land related documents. For registration, one has to go to the nearest Common Service Centre, where after biometric verification and filling of the form, the farmer can join the scheme.
