Cricket News Desk. A statement was issued quoting BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia. It said that Dream 11 and Indian Cricket Control Board are not moving forward on Jersey Sponsorship Deal. He said- After the passage of online gaming promotion and regulation bill 2025, BCCI and Dream 11 are ending this deal. The BCCI will ensure that in future it does not deal with any such institution. At the same time, the Indian board is now looking for a new jersey sponsor. If the deal is not done on time, the Indian cricket team will land in the Asia Cup without sponsor.

However, this is a bit difficult, as the Indian Cricket Control Board is the richest board in the world and being associated with it, it is a matter of pride for any business group to see warriors like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jaspreet Bumrah and Shubman Gill. Let’s try to understand which business groups can bid for the Indian cricket team’s jersey sponsorship …

Tata group

The Tata group has an important contribution not only in cricket but also in the Indian sports world. It is the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League and the Women’s Premier League and is also a share in cricket broadcasting in India. In addition, the Tata Group also dominates the Mumbai Marathon, Tata Open Maharashtra (the only ATP tour to be held in India), the Football Academy in Jamshedpur. It is playing an important role in the overall development of the Indian Olympic Association and Khelo India Youth Games as well as the overall development of Indian Games. If it also gets sponsorship of the cricket team’s jersey, then there will be no surprise.

Adani group

The Adani Group is a sponsor of the Delhi Premier League and also has a team in Gulf Giants (UAE’s International League T20/ILT20). With the Gujarat giants in the Women’s Premier League (WPL), Adani has at least a major presence in women’s cricket, but in male cricket, still does not have stature like Ambani or Tata groups.

Reliance Group/Jio (Mukesh Ambani)

Reliance Industries (Jio Platforms) plays an important role in the Indian sports scenario. It owns teams like Mumbai Indians (IPL) and also invests heavily in sports broadcasting. Reliance’s deep association with cricket makes it a natural option for jersey sponsorship. If it becomes a sponsor of the Indian cricket team, then there is no doubt that it will dominate and strong in cricket.

Automobile Company Mahindra & Mahindra Limited

Anand Mahindra is the Managing Director and Chairman of the Mahindra Group. He constantly encourages sports stars on social media. Give your opinion. He has gifted his luxury cars to players and cricketers. He also has a keen interest in sports. The company was a 2023 ODI World Cup and the 2023 Asia Cup as well as co-operated sponsor. Dream 11 getting out of Indian cricket will give him a chance to take a big step in cricket. Also, like IPL sponsor Tata, it will increase its scope in mainstream cricket.

Automobile Company Toyota

Toyota is a big name in sports sponsorship. It has sponsored or not sponsored Cricket Australia (this deal has been extended this year), England Cricket Board, International Olympic Committee, FIFA Club World Cup, The Hundred. It has been a sponsor of everything from New Zealand rugby team to American athletes and Tokyo 2020 Olympics. India is a prominent name in the cricket world. If it is a bet, there should be no exaggeration. According to a report, Toyota is also at the forefront of this race.

These are also big players, if they are betting on them, then there should be no surprise.

Apart from JSW, Pepsi, Fintech companies Zerodha, Angel One and Grove will also not want to let the opportunity go by hand. In 2023, Dream 11 has signed a deal of Rs 358 crore with BCCI, including Rs 3 crore for each domestic match and Rs 1 crore for each foreign match. According to the news, the BCCI may soon issue a tender for jersey sponsors. However, if the deal was not done before 9 September, the Indian cricket team will land on the cricket ground without any jersey sponsor.
