Many of these laborers had to return to their village under compulsion. During the same period, the country’s outstanding debt has increased to $ 26.6 billion, making the economic crisis even more serious.

Awami League says that the struggling industries were expecting help from the central bank. About 1,300 companies had applied for loan re -radiation, but only 280 were approved. According to the party, the rest of the companies are still waiting due to slow process and government hurdles. He said that the situation is getting worse due to lack of money, low production, workers’ retrenchment and payment to suppliers. Many industries can be closed at this speed.

The economic situation of the country is poor

The party further said that the number of default loans in the banking sector is more than doubled. Traders say that if the situation remains the same then it may take 5 years to complete the process of all applications. The Awami League warned that the situation may worsen if the textile and apparel industry, which is the backbone of the country’s economy, can worsen.
