26 decisions in Nitish cabinet: very good news for Biharis

Patna. The Bihar cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar approved 26 important proposals to give new pace to the development of the state. In this meeting, major decisions were taken to especially provide employment to industrial development and youth. The cabinet has set a target of providing jobs and employment to 1 crore youth in the coming five years by approving ‘Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package 2025’ (BIPPP-2025).

Industries will get free land, golden opportunity for investors

The state government has announced that industrial units will invest more than Rs 100 crore and will provide direct employment to at least 1000 people, land will be allotted free of cost up to 10 acres. At the same time, 25 acres of land will be given free to units investing more than Rs 1000 crore.

The government has also made breathtaking proposals to Fortune 500 companies. If these companies invest in Bihar, then they will also be given 10 acres of land on one rupee token amount. In order to take advantage of all these provisions, investors will be mandatory to apply by 31 March 2026.

Interest subsidy up to 40 crore, 300% reimbursement of SGST

Under the BIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP-2025, interest subsidy up to Rs 40 crore to investors, 300% of the project cost up to 300% of the project cost, 30% capital subsidy, export incentive of up to Rs 40 lakh per year, skill development incentive and renewable energy up to Rs 20,000 per personnel will provide assistance of up to 6 lakhs.

Some major land acquisitions include:

Approval of Rs 3,760 crore for acquiring 385.45 acres of land in Bahadurpur, Darbhanga. 66.91 crore for 279.65 acres of land in Purnia. 408.81 crore for 242 acres of land for logistic park in Fatuha (Patna)

BippP-2025 applied after Biada Amnesty Policy

Prior to this new industrial policy, the state government approved the Biada Amnesty Policy 2025. Now by implementing BIPPPP-2025, the government has given a clear indication that the atmosphere is being made favorable for investment in Bihar. Chief Secretary Amritlal Meena said that this scheme is a big step towards empowering the state industrially, providing employment to the youth in the state itself and making Bihar the first choice of investors.

Chief Minister’s focus: fulfilling August 15 promise

Significantly, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had announced from Gandhi Maidan on the occasion of Independence Day that the state government will connect 1 crore youths with jobs or self -employment in the next five years. This cabinet meeting can prove to be a milestone towards implementing this announcement.
