First Lipstick
It was a soft pinky-nude. I must’ve been in my late teens, and the moment I tried it on, it felt like a little spark of confidence. Subtle, yet powerful — almost like discovering how something as simple as a shade could completely change the way you carry yourself.

Lipstick fanatic: Malaika or sister Amrita?
Between Amu and me, she was definitely the bigger lipstick fanatic. During our college days, I remember she had this whole stash of lipsticks in every possible shade, while I was far more minimal. So yes, Amrita clearly won that round.

What does your go-to shade say about you?
My go-to shade is usually a bold red. It says I’m confident, fearless, and not afraid to make a statement. Red has that timeless glamour that matches my personality—it’s powerful, yet very feminine.



Lipstick means?
Lipstick is that final touch—it completes my look. Even if I’m in the simplest outfit, just adding a swipe of lipstick elevates everything instantly. For me, glamour isn’t just about clothes, it’s also the little details, and lipstick is definitely one of them. Lipstick has come such a long way. From being this heavy, cakey product to now formulas that are so light and nourishing, it’s become less about covering up and more about expression. Today it’s about inclusivity, individuality, and textures that feel as good as they look.

Favourite lipstick shade
It’s Scarlet Rouge this rich scarlet red that I absolutely adore. It’s timeless, powerful, and yet so flattering on Indian skin tones. If I had to name it myself, I’d still call it Scarlet Rouge—because that’s exactly what it is: bold, classic, and forever in style.
