For those who own the Samsung Galaxy S23 and are unfortunate enough to see the sudden appearance of the vertical green line and experiencing screen issues, there is a silver lining to the story. Over the years, smartphone users who experienced the vertical green line, the fix was not easily available. Fortunately, Samsung has decided to take action for Indian customers.

In a customer-centric initiative, Samsung India has expanded their scope of free screen replacements. It now covers the Galaxy S23 series as well which includes the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Users who feared encountering exorbitant repair costs for issues that were not their fault will now be relieved.

In line with the repair free, there are a few policies to be noted. Users are eligible for a one-time free screen replacement as long as their device has the specified issues. The first limitation is that the device should not be older than three years. The second is, there should be no other issues with the device despite the screen replacement, things like cracks and water damage will void the free replacement.

To take advantage of the screening replacement, users will have to go to any Samsung authorized repair shop. Remember that the replacement screening is valid until the end of December 2025.

As much as the screen replacement is complimentary, there may be a small fee for the labor involved. Some reports have suggested that the price to this fee is approximately INR 649.

Samsung has taken a very good step here. If you have that green line lingering on the display, go to the service center as soon as possible so you do not miss the deadline.
