Komal Meer is one of Pakistan’s rising television stars. She became popular in a very short time and impressed fans with her acting in dramas such as Badshah Begum, Wehshi, Ehd-e-Wafa, Resham Gali Ki Husna Rani, Qalandar, Benaam, Tere Aane Se, and Rash-e-Junoon. Recently, her performance in ARY Digital’s drama Ae Dil was also admired by fans. Along with her success, Komal Meer has also been in the spotlight because of a visible change in her appearance after sudden weight gain.

In a recent appearance on Fuchsia Magazine’s YouTube show, Komal opened up about the struggles she faced due to the criticism. She admitted that the negative comments affected her deeply. “To be very honest, it did take a toll on me,” she said. She revealed that she cried several times when people around her made remarks about her looks.

According to Komal, online trolling was something she initially tried to ignore. But it became unbearable when close friends and acquaintances also began passing insensitive comments. She said she expected empathy and understanding from people she knew, but instead, they added to her pain. “Even now, I still get messages about my weight gain,” she said.

The young actor further shared that many friends asked her to make a video to clarify the reason behind her weight gain. However, Komal questioned why she should have to explain her personal life to others. “Whatever I say, they won’t believe it,” she added.

Komal also admitted that the constant remarks have now become a permanent part of her life. She said the pressure has not gone away, even with her rising success. Despite everything, Komal’s honesty and courage have received praise from fans, who admire her for speaking openly about a sensitive issue.
