India's favourite off roader, Mahindra Thar is about to get a fresh new look, after ruling the SUV market for five years. The dynamic road beast is getting a facelift this September and the fans are curious for its new look.
The facelifted Thar is expected to sport a bolder front grille, sleek projector LED headlights with stylish DRLs, and updated bumpers too. Fresh alloy wheels and redesigned LED tail lamps may add more style to its rugged and tough look. If you've seen the Thar Roxx which is a 5-door SUV, you will notice some familiar upgrades in this new facelift as well. Inside, the biggest change might be a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, replacing the smaller 7-inch unit from the older model. Thar lovers can also expect a fully digital instrument cluster, a new style steering wheel, wireless charging, and even automatic climate control, which is a common feature in most of the SUVs nowadays. Mechanically, the Thar facelift is expected to keep the same powerful engine options that 'THARians' love, ensuring the off-road experience remains just as thrilling as it was. However, ADAS features, dashcams and advanced 360 degree cameras may still be missing in this version as well. The launch of the Thar Roxx in 2024 already gave customers an idea that this rugged and tough off roader can also have modernity with more space, premium sound system, two extra doors, a panoramic sunroof with ventilated seats. And to add more charm to the brand, Mahindra is also working on the limelighted Thar.e which is an electric version of this bad boy. Thar.e is expected to debut in 2026, combining green mobility with the beast spirit of Thar.
