In an important meeting held on Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed to implement 'Uttar Pradesh Electronics component manufacturing policy-2025'. Through this policy, the state will move forward with the target of production of US $ 50 billion and 10 lakh new jobs in the next five years.

Historical industrial development in the last 8 years

The Chief Minister said in the meeting that Uttar Pradesh has made a historic jump in the field of industrial development in the last eight years. UP, which contributes 60% of the country to mobile production, is now preparing to make a distinct identity in electronics manufacturing.

India's high speed in electronics sector

Officials said that in the year 2014-15, where electronics products worth Rs 1.9 lakh crore were made in the country, the figure has reached Rs 11.3 lakh crore by 2024-25.

  • Mobile production: Rs 18 thousand crore to Rs 5.45 lakh crore
  • Mobile exports: Rs 1,500 crore to Rs 2 lakh crore
  • Electronics hardware export of Rs 37 thousand crore in 2023-24 from UP

Investors will get top-up incentive and special benefits

Under the new policy, Uttar Pradesh will incentives the top-up with the Electronic Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) of the Central Government. Apart from this, there will be many provisions like attractive subsidy, stamp duty and electricity fee exemption, interest grant and logistics assistance on capital investment.

The Chief Minister clearly stated that investors who will give priority to the youth of the state and create employment will be given special incentives.

Self -reliant India and Make in India will get strength

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this policy will give a new direction to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'self -reliant India' and 'Make in India' vision. This will not only increase foreign investment but will also reduce dependence on imports, will be a domestic price promotion and will also save foreign currency.

Research, startups and clusters will get new energy

Policy will promote research and development, innovation, startup and skill development.

  • Electronics manufacturing clusters in Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway area will be strengthened.
  • The upcoming Jewar International Airport and Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor will be firmly connected to the state with a global supply chain.

The Chief Minister said that transparency and time -bound implementation will be the cornerstone of this policy. Investors will be provided all facilities from the single window system and Ease of Doing Business will be given top priority.
