Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra are now covered under the free one-time screen replacement policy in India. This limited-time offer is for those devices that are facing the famous green line issue. The company's support chat has revealed that the screen replacement policy is valid till September, and customers can get their handsets repaired by visiting Samsung authorized service centers. However, there will be some limitations on the eligibility of the device under this replacement policy of the company.
Using Samsung support chat on WhatsApp confirms that now the brand's screen replacement policy will also apply to Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra. This information was first revealed by X user Tarun Vats. According to the brand, this offer will be valid till September 29 at Samsung authorized service centers in India. This means that users whose smartphones are affected by the green line issue have a month to visit the company's service center and get the screen problem solved.
Customers can book a service appointment at their nearest authorised service centre and avail themselves of this offer and get a free screen replacement.
Vats' original post claimed that Samsung will extend this offer till December 31, thereby increasing the coverage period. But Gadgets 360 has confirmed through the Samsung Support app that the replacement policy will be valid only till September 29. There is no official information about the extension.
As always, there will be some terms and conditions. According to the Samsung support chat, the final eligibility of the handset will be confirmed by the authorised service centre after the necessary checks.
In the previous case, when the free screen replacement program was extended, the publication received confirmation of the eligibility criteria. First, there should be no physical damage or water damage to the device. Second, the handsets will be covered for three years from the purchase date. Finally, only the first purchaser will be able to get a free screen replacement under this policy by showing the original invoice. Although the screen replacement was offered free of cost, customers had to pay labor charges for the repair.
The special thing is that this is not the first time that older models have been included in Samsung's free screen replacement policy. In April 2024, the company announced a special replacement offer for the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy S21 series, and Galaxy S22 series. Earlier this year also, Samsung extended the coverage period of the free one-time screen replacement policy for smartphones affected by the green line issue till September.
