A soon-to-be royal bride is undergoing a "test" this week as she joins the Royal Family for the first time at Balmoral Castle. NHS nurse Harriet Sperling, who is engaged to King Charles' nephew Peter Phillips, is spending her first summer holiday at the beloved royal estate in Scotland.
It is believed that Harriet, 45, is at the estate with her fiancé Peter and has spent time getting to know her soon-to-be in-laws even better. The family gather at Balmoral every summer to spend plenty of quality family time together, which includes outdoor walks, games, picnics and barbecues.
Although not yet an official member of the family, Harriet is likely to be getting involved in the family traditions, and is believed to be well-liked by the royals.

While she is not set to take an official test, The Sun reports that mum-of-one Harriet will be undergoing the "Balmoral Test", which is essentially just to see how well she gets on in the Royal Family circle - something other royal brides have also done before, including Princess Kate.
The Sun reported that Harriet seems to be set to pass with flying colours, having already been spotted horseriding and bike riding with Peter's relatives.
A source told the tabloid: "Everyone knows Peter is smitten and his family have accepted Harriett into the set up so she will likely pass the infamous Balmoral Test with flying colours."
It is not known whether Harriet's daughter is also at Balmoral for the summer holiday.
While it is Harriet's first summer at Balmoral, she has been seen out and about with the royals before, including in the months before Princess Anne's son proposed to her.
This included at Royal Ascot, where she made her carriage debut and was seen chatting to Princess Anne and Zara Tindall.
Harriet, who still works as a nurse, also joined Peter in the royal box at Wimbledon this year.
No date has yet been set for the couple's wedding, however it is believed both families are delighted by the news.
