Kitchen tips: Chakla-sellers are an important part of the kitchen, and according to many traditions they also have religious significance. Especially in Hindu beliefs, it has been said that Chakla-Balal should be kept clean because it is connected to mother Annapurna, and Lakshmi resides in a clean kitchen. But many times the dough sticks on the chakla or cylinder and does not withdraw from normal washing, then you can easily clean them by adopting some easy remedies given below.

Use hot water: First of all, soak the chakla and cylinder in warm water for some time. This will soften the dough and then easily descend when rubbing with scrubber or an old cloth.

Lemon and salt: Put a little salt on half a lemon and rub it on the chain. This will not only remove the sticky dough, but will also eliminate any kind of smell or bacteria.

Vinegar and Baking Soda: Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1-2 tablespoons white vinegar to a bowl. Apply this mixture on the chakla or cylinder and leave for 10 minutes. Then clean with a scrubber, the dough will leave immediately.

Use old brush: If the surface of the chakla is rough (such as wood), then the remaining pieces of flour can be cleaned by rubbing the old toothbrush.

Dry flour or flour bran: Sometimes it is easily removed by rubbing on the flour sticking with dry flour.

1- After cooking, immediately clean the chakla-selle, so that the dough does not dry.
2- Deep cleaning with lemon, vinegar or salt at least once a week.
3- Do not keep the wooden chakle-selle in water for long, it can swell wood.
