King of vow

This year, a 22 feet tall statue of Ganapati has been installed here, inspired by the mythology of Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. Mandal Vice President Siddhesh Korgaon said that the idol and its decoration show the theme of Rameswaram, in which Hanumanji brings the body of Lord Shankar from Rameswaram.

History of establishment

Lalbagcha Raja Mandal was established in 1934, which has an interesting history. Nearly nine decades ago, fishermen and shopkeepers of this area sought a vow to meet a permanent place for their market. When his vow was fulfilled, he expressed a small gratitude Ganesh Murthy Established. This tradition started from here and still continues with full faith and reverence. Long queues for darshan

  • There are long queues of devotees to see the Lalbagcha king. Two main queues are made for darshan:
  • ‘Navsachi Line’: This is for those devotees who want to take their special vow and go to the feet of Bappa. This queue may take 25 to 40 hours to visit.
  • ‘Mukhdarshan Line’: From this line, devotees visit Bappa from far away. This line is relatively small, which may take 4 to 5 hours.

Safety and facilities

In view of the huge crowd of devotees, strong security arrangements have been made this year. CCTV cameras have been installed by Mandal at various places, and thousands of policemen and volunteers have been deployed so that Devotees Do not have any kind of inconvenience. All the necessary facilities like medical assistance, water and toilets have also been provided for the devotees inside the pandal.

The Lalbagcha king is not just an idol, but the center of hope, faith and faith for crores of people. With the arrival of Bappa every year, the entire area turns into a huge festival, which is an integral part of the cultural heritage of Mumbai.
