Apple is only a few weeks away from its biggest launch of the year, according to Bloomberg’s trusted Apple reporter Mark Gurman. Gurman shared details of Apple’s next three years of iPhone plans, including a new folding iPhone.
Apple will start this plan with a model called the iPhone Air, something already rumored before. The iPhone Air will be thinner but will sacrifice battery size and number of cameras to achieve that slim look, according to the reports.
Gurman thinks the iPhone Air will replace the iPhone 16 Plus in the lineup. So instead of more models, Apple will just change the four-phone lineup style. The lineup will then be: iPhone Air, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, as per the Bloomberg report.

This is one fewer back camera than Apple’s usual premium iPhones. The foldable iPhone will come with Touch ID instead of Face ID. It will only be sold in two colors – black and white, unlike Apple’s normal four-color choices. Apple faced problems with screen technology. At first, it wanted to use on-cell touch tech, which is less accurate, as reported by Bloomberg.
Apple is expected to launch its first folding iPhone in September 2026, codenamed V68, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Q2. What is special about the iPhone 20?
The iPhone 20 will come with a curved design to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iPhone.
