The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started preparations for the 10th and 12th board examinations to be held in 2026. In this regard, CBSE has issued instructions to the principals of schools regarding the list of students appearing for the board examination, i.e., List of Candidates (LOC). Along with this, CBSE has also shared information about the new system, under which CBSE has announced the implementation of a new system to correct errors in the mark sheets and certificates of class 10th and 12th.
Let us know what the new system of CBSE is to correct the errors of name, date of birth in the mark sheets and certificates of class 10th and 12th?
A data verification slip will be issued after the LOC.
CBSE has asked the affiliated schools to submit the list of board examinees appearing in the 10th and 12th board examinations in the year 2026. Along with this, information has also been given about the new system to correct the errors related to the date of birth, including the name in the mark sheet and certificate of 10th and 12th. According to the circular issued by CBSE, after the list of board examinees is released by the schools, the data verification slip of the students will be issued. Corrections can be made based on this slip.
What will be in the verification slip, and how will the system work?
CBSE has said that after the list of 10th and 12th board examinees is submitted by the schools, the data verification slip will be issued. This slip will be issued by the schools, which will contain the name of the candidate/mother/father/guardian, date of birth, and subject of the board exam. If there is any mistake in this slip, then correction can be made on its basis. CBSE has said that this is a new step to ensure correct data and subjects for the board examination of the year 2026.
Correction can be done before the exam; otherwise, no chance will be given again.
CBSE has clarified that if there is any mistake in the data verification slip, then correction can be made on this basis. For this, an opportunity will be given before the board exam. CBSE has said in the circular issued that if there is any mistake in the data verification slip, then CBSE will allow correction in the application form from 13 to 27 October. Also, CBSE has clarified that once this process and period is over, no correction will be done by the board.
