Total Vacancies for SBI PO Prelims 2025
Among the 600 vacancies, 500 are regular positions while 41 are backlog vacancies. The distribution includes 75 regular and 5 backlog positions for Scheduled Caste (SC), 37 regular and 36 backlog for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 135 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 50 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and 203 for Unreserved (UR) categories.
Selection Process for SBI PO Examination 2025
The SBI recruitment process includes a preliminary examination followed by a main exam and a third phase. The preliminary test lasts for one hour and consists of 100 questions, each carrying one mark, covering three subjects: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The main examination, which is three hours long, includes sections on Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General Awareness/Economy/Banking Knowledge, and English Language, totaling 200 marks with 170 questions. Additionally, a Descriptive paper assesses candidates' communication skills through tasks like Emails, Reports, Situation Analysis, and Precis Writing for 30 minutes, worth 50 marks. This main examination and descriptive paper form Phase-II of the recruitment process. Phase-III includes a Psychometric test for personality profiling, followed by a Group exercise worth 20 marks and an Interview worth 30 marks.
