
The much -awaited romantic comedy, starring Siddharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, was released in theaters on 29 August, 2025 and according to Sacnilk, earned ₹ 7.25 crores on the first day. Despite high expectations and widespread publicity, the film, directed by Tushar Jalota, recorded only 12.92% of the audience in Hindi cinema, in the morning shows 8.19%, which increased to 19.77% by night. Produced by Madock Films, the film missed the early earnings of ₹ 9-10 crores due to Ganesh Chaturthi Utsav and regional rainfall.
Param Sundari, an entrepreneur (Siddharth) of Delhi weaves an inter-cultural love story between Param and a traditional woman (Janhvi) from Kerala, inspired by a dating app. With hit films like Sachin-Jigar’s lively music, Pardesia and Bhegi Sari, pre-relief discussion, which reminds of the 90s Bollywood romance. Assistant artists including Sanjay Kapoor, Manjot Singh and Abhishek Banerjee add humor and depth.
However, the portrayal of Janhvi’s South Indian character faced criticism for cultural impurities, which was compared to the Chennai Express. Despite the slow start, the film performed better than Siddharth’s warrior (₹ 4.1 crore) and Janhvi’s Mr. and Mrs. Mahi (₹ 6.9 crore). Mixed reviews praised the chemistry of the lead actors, but also emphasized the estimation of the story. Param Sundari’s budget of ₹ 60 crore requires a strong weekend to extract the cost, and according to initial estimates it will reach ₹ 11.22 crore by the second day.
