
The State Bank of India (SBI) is set to release the Preliminary Exam 2025 results for Probationary Officer (PO) recruitment. Candidates who appeared for the exam on 4th and 5th August 2025 can check their results on the official SBI website sbi.co.in once it is announced.
How to Check SBI PO Prelims Result 2025To view the result, candidates need their roll number and password or date of birth to log in. Follow these simple steps:
Visit the official SBI website: sbi.co.in
Navigate to the Career section and click on Current Openings.
Select Probationary Officer Recruitment 2025.
Enter your registration number/roll number and password/DOB to log in.
Check your roll number in the result PDF and download it for future reference.
The SBI PO Prelims exam is a 100-mark test covering three sections:

English Language
-
Numerical Ability
-
Reasoning Ability
The exam also follows a negative marking system, where 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer. This year, over 6 lakh candidates appeared for the exam.
Selection ProcessThe SBI PO recruitment process consists of three stages:
Prelims – Qualifying round to shortlist candidates for mains.
Mains Exam – Detailed written test for shortlisted candidates.
Interview & Psychometric Test – Includes group exercises and personal interviews.
For the 2025 recruitment cycle, SBI received 6,57,850 applications for 541 PO vacancies. Approximately ten times the number of candidates will be selected for the Mains exam. Once the Prelims results are declared, SBI will announce the dates for the Mains exam.

Prelims is just the qualifying stage; clearing it does not guarantee selection.
