You can choose one of the suggestions, and it will replace your message in the text field. Meta's intention behind bringing this feature is to make sending messages smooth and expressive by reducing the stress of finding the right words.

WhatsApp has confirmed that this feature is completely optional and will be disabled by default. If you want to use this feature, then you can enable it by going to the settings. Talking about availability, Meta has confirmed that initially this feature will be available in the US and selected countries in the English language.
