Exciting Matches on Day 3 of PKL 2025
On the third day of the Pro Kabaddi League 2025 (PKL 2025), U Mumba triumphed over Tamil Thalaivas, while Bengal Warriorz secured a victory against the defending champions, Haryana Steelers.
In the opening match, U Mumba took on Tamil Thalaivas, with both teams entering the game after securing wins in their first matches. Initially, it seemed like the Thalaivas were on track for another victory, but U Mumba made a remarkable comeback to clinch the win.
At one point, U Mumba was down by nine points, but they rallied to finish the match with a score of 36-33. Ajit Chouhan set the pace for U Mumba with successful raids, while Arjun Deshwal's crucial do-or-die raid shifted momentum in favor of the Thalaivas.
The halftime score was 14-11 in favor of the Thalaivas, who extended their lead by executing an all-out on U Mumba early in the second half. However, U Mumba managed to avoid another all-out and turned the tables by inflicting one on the Thalaivas, ultimately securing their second win of the season.
In the second match, Bengal Warriorz kicked off their PKL 2025 journey with a strong performance against the Haryana Steelers, winning 54-44. Under the leadership of new captain Devank Dalal, the Warriorz showcased their skills.
Dalal was instrumental in the victory, scoring 21 points, while Manprit Pardeep contributed 13 points and Ashish Malik achieved a High Five. Despite Shivam Patare and Vinay from the Steelers achieving Super 10s, their efforts fell short.
The Warriorz started strong with a tackle from Ashish Malik, followed by Dalal's impactful plays that put them ahead. Although Patare and Neeraj kept the Steelers competitive, the Warriorz quickly established a seven-point lead after executing an all-out.
By halftime, the Warriorz led 23-19. The Steelers began the second half aggressively, executing an all-out, but a raid from Patare leveled the scores. Nevertheless, the Warriorz regained a four-point lead thanks to a Super Raid from Manprit and inflicted another all-out on the champions, sealing their victory by a ten-point margin.
