Arabic is a very tasty vegetable, which people make in many ways by dry, gravy, curd or fry. But while cutting or peeling it, itching, burning or prick in the hands is a common problem. This itching is caused by calcium oxalate crystals present in Arabic, which do irritation when exposed to the skin. The good thing is that you can avoid this problem with some easy home remedies. Home remedies to avoid itching while cutting Arabic
Cut oil with oil – Before peeling or cutting Arabic, apply mustard oil or any cooking oil on the hands. The oil makes a protective layer, due to which the burning sensation of Arabic does not touch the skin.

Boil and peel -Boil Arabic for 15-20 minutes first. Then after cooling, remove it easily. Boiled Arabic does not itch.
Apply lemon or vinegar – If itching starts while cutting Arabic, then rub lemon juice or vinegar (vinegar) on your hands. It immediately calms the irritation and balances the skin.
Wear gloves – If you have plastic or rubber kitchen gloves, then wear them while peeling Arabic. There will be no problem of itching due to lack of direct contact.
Rub with gram flour or multani mitti after washing hands – After cutting Arabic, itching is reduced by washing hands with gram flour or multani mitti.
Take care
- Sometimes the same irritation can be done by Arabic leaves (stars), adopt the same remedy for them.
- If itching becomes too much, then wash hands with cold water and apply aloe vera gel.
