Shares of Hyderabad-headquartered MIC Electronics Limited saw a remarkable surge on Thursday September 4 2025 as the GST Council approved a two-tier rate structure. The stock started the trading session in the green showing a slight change at Rs 52 up from the previous close of Rs 51.52. However they surged amid a significant increase in volume by more than 13.80 times. This surge led to a 20 per cent jump hitting the upper circuit of Rs 61.82. As of the last update the counter was firmly in the green at Rs 61.10 with the companys market cap standing at Rs 1472.58 crore. Today the stock has exhibited high volatility with an intraday volatility of 5.49 per cent trading in a wide range of Rs 10.09. Technically the stock is trading higher than the 5-day 20-day 50-day and 100-day moving averages but lower than the 200-day moving averages. The 50-share NSE Nifty surged 265.7 points to 24980.75. From the Sensex firms Mahindra & Mahindra jumped the most by over 7. 50 per cent. Bajaj Finance Hindustan Unilever Bajaj Finserv ITC Tata Motors and UltraTech Cement were also among the gainers. However Eternal Tata Steel NTPC and HCL Tech were among the laggards. In Asian markets South Koreas Kospi and Japans Nikkei 225 index traded in positive territory while Shanghais SSE Composite index and Hong Kongs Hang Seng quoted lower. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) offloaded equities worth Rs 1666.46 crore on Wednesday while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) bought stocks worth Rs 2495.33 crore according to exchange data. The GST Council approved limiting slabs to 5 per cent and 18 per cent effective from September 22 the first day of Navaratri.
