The way the change in GST slab by the Modi government will have a direct impact on the common man. This can be understood in easy language. For example, if a goods was worth 100 rupees, then after it is imposed on it, the existing MRP i.e. maximum price is 100+12 = 112 rupees. Most of the goods used by the common man used to come in this 12 percent GST slab. But after the change in GST, its maximum price will now be 100+5 = 105 rupees. This means that the goods which used to get Rs 112 earlier will get 105 rupees than the new GST slab. That is, there will be a benefit of 7 rupees in the pocket of the common man directly.

These goods will be taxed at 5% instead of 12%

The way the government has changed the slab of GST, after that, along with food, other essential items will now be imposed 5 percent GST tax instead of 12. It will include butter, salty, ghee, bhujia, cheese, children's diapers, utensils, sewing machines, glucometer, medical grade oxygen and irrigation system, test strips, bio pastesides, tractors, cultivation, harvesting, threshing.

The government has decided that the first 5 percent GST was imposed on packed cheese and teeth, which has now been reduced to zero. Similarly, GST of 5 percent has been imposed on almonds, pistachios, dates, fish, baking powder, sugar, dubband coconut, juice. Not only this, chocolate, pastry, cake, biscuits, jams, readymade soup, copy and corn plex have been reduced from 18 to 5 percent tax.

These things will be expensive by GST

After the new slab of GST, products like cigarette, pan masala, gutkha and tobacco will now be replaced by 28 percent GST. Along with this, tax has also increased in carbonated and caffeinated drinks, SUVs and expensive motorcycles and private aircraft.
