Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made air connectivity an important basis with a resolve to develop Uttar Pradesh by 2047 and make a state -friendly state. His vision is that the state should be made the hub of the aviation sector in the next 22 years. Keeping this goal in mind, the government has pledged for 'Ek Mandal, Ek International Airport'.
Target of 2047: State making logistic powerhouse
Green Smart Highway, Air Cargo Hub, Regional Austrips, Heliport and modern aviation ecosystem will be developed in the coming years in UP. The state will be made the center of global investment and industrial development by connecting every district to air connectivity.
Before 2017: Limited status of air connectivity
Prior to 2017, aerial connectivity in Uttar Pradesh was very limited. Only a few select airports were operating and most of the districts were cut off from the air network. Aerial connectivity in industrial and rural areas was almost negligible, affecting investment and development.
2017-2025: Aviation Revolution of Yogi Government
The state's picture changed completely in eight and a half years. currently:
- 16 domestic airports operated
- 5 new airports under construction
- 4 international airports ready
Jewelry International Airport will be included in Asia's largest and state -of -the -art airports. This will not only provide convenience for the passengers but will also prove to be a game-changer in the development of the state as cargo and transit hub.
Jewelry Airport: State's new identity
Maintenance, repair and overhall (MRO) centers are being established at Jewar Airport. This will give UP a new height on the global aviation map and the state will emerge as Aviation Power Center in Asia.
This vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is not limited to air connectivity only. It is an ambitious attempt to establish Uttar Pradesh as global investment, industrial development and logistic powerhouse. By 2047, the dream of air connectivity to every district of UP is now close to reality.
