Fact check: Many posts that go viral on social media are often fake. Many times they also contain shorts videos, which contain fake information related to government schemes. People fall in their affair and do their losses. One such fake post is going viral on a YouTube channel, in which the central government has said to give solar flour mill for free.

What is being claimed in viral post?

A video shorts of YouTube channel Sarkariyojana045 claimed that women are given free flour mills under the free solar flour mill scheme by the central government. For this, Aadhaar card, Jan Aadhaar card, BPL ration card, mobile number and bank account are needed. The government is providing this facility to women under the 'Free Solar Flour Mill Scheme 2025'.

This post in the PIB Fact Czech has turned out to be completely fake. No such scheme is currently being run by the central government. The PIB has appealed to the people to visit the website http://myscheme.gov.in for official information of various public welfare schemes.
