New Initiatives to Promote Space Science Education
Raipur: On Teacher’s Day, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated Mission Antariksh and Project Jai Vigyan from his official residence. These initiatives are designed to enhance awareness of space science among schoolchildren. During the event, two important Memorandums of Understanding were established—one between the Raipur district administration and the Igniting Dreams of Young Minds Foundation, and another with Vigyan Bharati. These collaborations aim to equip students with valuable knowledge in space-related subjects.
CM Sai extended his congratulations on behalf of the Chhattisgarh populace to Group Captain Shubhashnu Shukla for his successful space mission. He also honored teachers and conveyed his best wishes for Teacher’s Day. The Chief Minister commended the district administration for this special initiative, emphasizing that the agreements are intended to foster a scientific mindset among students and ignite their curiosity and passion for science.
“Science transcends laboratory boundaries,” CM Sai stated. “It embodies a lifestyle that nurtures inquiry, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.” He expressed optimism that Project Jai Vigyan would encompass workshops, science exhibitions, competitions, and innovative projects, enabling students to acquire new knowledge and boost their self-confidence.
The Chief Minister asserted that this initiative would empower Chhattisgarh's children to become not just consumers of knowledge but also innovators and discoverers. “This,” he noted, “is the cornerstone of an Atmanirbhar Bharat and a society grounded in science.”
He encouraged children to take inspiration from Shubhashnu Shukla and pursue excellence in their respective fields, thereby bringing honor to themselves and the nation.
Group Captain Shubhashnu Shukla, addressing the audience, expressed his commitment to passing on the opportunities he received from the country to future generations. “I am particularly grateful to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai for his vision. His initiatives have led to the organization of such impactful programs. When the leadership of the state prioritizes science and education, it positively influences the entire state, motivating children to reach new heights,” he remarked.
Among those present were Education Minister Gajendra Yadav, Raipur Collector Gaurav Kumar Singh, along with students and teachers from various schools across the state.
