Method (Sabudana ka halwa recipe)
1. First of all, soak sago in 4-5 hours or overnight in clean water. Note that the amount of water is just a sago covering, so that it is not very wet.

2. Heat ghee in a pan. Add dry fruits (cashews, almonds, raisins) and fry it lightly and keep it aside.
3. Now add soaked sago in the same ghee and fry on medium flame for 4-5 minutes. When the sago becomes transparent and soft, add milk (or water) to it and cook for 2-3 minutes.
4. Now add sugar, cardamom powder and saffron. Cook on low flame while stirring the halwa until it becomes thick and leaving ghee. Add roasted dry fruits on top and mix well. Serve hot sago pudding. You can also eat it after cooling it.
5. Sago soaked for a long time is not sticky in the pudding. Keep the amount of sugar according to your taste and fast rules. If you do not want to add milk, you can make pudding only with water.
