Amanda Owen caused a social media stir as she wowed fans in a tiny bikini while riding a horse in the Yorkshire Dales at Ravenseat Farm. The mum-of-nine had some choice words for critics who have expressed concerns about her appearance in recent weeks. The shepherdess, 50, loves to keep her fans up to date with the shenanigans at Ravenseat Farm in North Yorkshire since shooting to fame Channel 4's Our Yorkshire Farm in 2018. Since then Amanda, ex-husband Clive, 69 - who she split with in 2022 after 22 years of marriage, and their nine children have starred in fives series, as well as two series of Our Farm Next Door.

Amanda took the opportunity to shut down her critics who have made comments about her appearance. It comes after recent photos shared by the shepherdess where fans noted her recent weight loss. The on-screen star took to Instagram and uploaded a candid video as she rode her horse wearing a two-piece where she flashed the flesh. The mum-of-nine almost spilled out of the plunging cropped top as she showcased her washboard abs.

Amanda captioned the post: "Determined to ride out the storm of any negativity or concerns for my health [horse emoji and bikini emoji].

Being happy and confident is easier on the most perfect evening and in good company. A bonus is not being blighted by insects thats stings and bites hurts far, far more than any derisory comments."

Speaking in the video she explained: "One day in the not so distance future I will be far to old to ride a horse and far too old to wear a bikini and definitely to old to ride a horse and wear a bikini."

"So for now, that's what I'm going to do, if the weather lets me," she shrugged.

Her 541,000 followers rushed to comment on the post as one person said: "Love this just being true to yourself."

Another penned: "Okay some of us were genuinely concerned by your weight loss, but if say you're in good health then that's all that matters. Enjoy."

A third wrote: "Rocking the bikini & riding a horse! You are an inspiration."

"Good on you love. But I think a lot of the comments were out of concern. But if you're in good health and well. Fair enough," a fourth shared.

Last month Channel Four finally confirmed the future of Amanda Owen's TV show, Our Farm Next Door.

The programme hit More4 in October 2024 and it has since been announced it will return for a second series.
