
Rescue Efforts at Paradip Port
Paradip: Authorities at Paradip Port in Odisha have initiated a search operation for a Chinese sailor who fell overboard from a ship on Friday morning, according to police reports.
The operation involves personnel from the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and Odisha Marine Police, along with scuba divers.
In a heroic attempt to save the Chinese sailor, a Bangladeshi crew member jumped into the water and was subsequently rescued, as confirmed by a police officer.
The incident occurred when the Chinese sailor accidentally fell into the water while attempting to set up a ladder, an official stated.
This unfortunate event took place as a Chinese vessel was preparing to depart after unloading cargo at the Paradip International Cargo Terminal (PICT).
