Sahir Lodhi recently appeared on the show Metatainmentwhere he shared some important and unique aspects of his life.

He mentioned that he frequently visits a graveyard in Malir Cantonment because he finds spiritual calmness there. One of his closest friends, who passed away 32 years ago, is buried there. Sahir was not only present at his funeral but was also among those who helped lower the body into the grave.

Sahir Lodhi usually goes to the graveyard between 2 and 4 a.m. to offer Fatiha (prayer) at his friend’s grave, a practice that gives him immense peace.

He said that when you have such an old and deep friendship, losing that person brings immense sorrow. He even has his friend’s picture in his room.

Sahir also shared that he has never felt afraid in a graveyard. In his view, real fear comes from the living, because it is people who can cause actual harm.

He said he’s not afraid of ghosts or supernatural beings either, because no ghost can cause as much pain as humans do—like inflation, taxes, and systemic failures, which he called the real “ghosts.”

Speaking about his busy schedule, Sahir said he is occupied with work throughout the day, which is why he only finds time at night to visit the graveyard. He lives a highly organized life and plans so meticulously that he even has his schedule ready two months in advance.
