According to WABETAINFO, WhatsApp owned by Meta, before the rumors of the launch of the iPhone 17 series on 9 September, is testing Apple’s innovative liquid glass design for its beta app, version 25.24.10.70 in 25.24.10.70. This update introduces an attractive, transparent interface, which aligns Whatsapp with modern aesthetics of Apple to look like a liquid, glass.
The liquid glass started with iOS 26 displays dynamic, transparent elements that react to light and user interactions, causing depth in background layers, menu and buttons. Beta of WhatsApp compiled using iOS 26 SDK via Xcode, initially focuses on renewing the lower navigation bar, and plans to expand this design to other interactive elements. Early builds show subtle transparency in tabs and menu, ensuring that there is no compromise in readability and access.
According to WABETAINFO, the launch of the iPhone 17 series is going to happen soon, but the liquid glass interface of Whatsapp may take weeks or months to fully implement. The phased implementation allows WhatsApp to improve the design based on the reaction of the beta examiners, ensuring its spontaneous integration with the ecosystem of iOS 26. Apple has also made changes in liquid glass since its first beta, which improved its visual appeal on iOS, iPados and Macos.
The purpose of this change is to provide a visually immersive experience without making any changes in the main functionality of WhatsApp. Amidst waiting for the launch of iPhone 17 in India, this update leads WhatsApp to adopt Apple’s state -of -the -art UI, which promises iPhone users a fresh, modern messaging experience. The public release date is not yet certain, but it indicates an important step towards aligning beta Whatsapp with the design language of iOS 26.
